One
Step Closer is a for profit company that provides permanent,
temporary and/or transitional clean and sober housing
environments along with a menu of social services to
families, couples and singles that are unable to secure
housing through traditional means due to issues including
bad credit (i.e. bankruptcy, evictions, repossessions,
slow credit, no credit, etc.), prior criminal record,
low income earning potential due to lack of education
and job training, family crisis, chemical dependency,
etc.
Currently
the housing component of our program is delivered through
a two-tiered model lasting between 3 months – 15 months
depending on the person or family units needs and goals.
All of our programs are “working based programs” whereby
individuals and families are required to be working
or working towards obtaining employment in order to
be program participants.
The
One Step Closer program is built on the belief that:
